ELP READING PRE-SCHOOL Reading provides a means of understanding the thoughts of others through what they have written, whether a letter, poem, grocery list, sign or story. Readiness for reading depends on the development of pre-reading skills. Some of the activities included are matching objects by likeness, matching objects by sound, size relationship, predicting outcomes, part to whole, rhyming words, remembering details, beginning to read.
