The blending of photographs and art provides an appropriately dream-like, imaginary quality to this enjoyable story of imagination. Louie is teased by his friends for his grandfather's junk yard, who then tells him 'They should know better than to call this junk. All a person needs is some imagination! And a little of that stuff can take you right out of this world.' And it turns out, that's what it does, as Louie and his friends build the Imagination I, which takes them off into orbit, by the moon, and through asteroids, before finally returning home. Hardcover with dust jacket.
