In the busyness of ministry today, it is easy to spend more time 'waiting on tables' than to spend time in prayer, to spend more time doing the tasks of ministry rather than spend the necessary time communing with the Father, getting instruction and direction and power for ministry. A pastor needs to have a vibrant prayer life to do ministry. He also needs to model prayer for his congregation.
