King George III was the most hated man in America. Yet the people of England loved him. His father died when George was just 12 years old and George knew that he would be the next king. George worked hard to learn how to be a good king. He also liked trying new farming techniques and was given the nickname 'Farmer George.'
The American colonies didn't like having a king and won their war for freedom. George thought he had failed at his job and almost quit being the king. Then he changed his mind. When he died, his people mourned. To the British, he was the most remembered and beloved king.
