How does and how should the church learn and teach its approach to morality today? How much unity should be sought and what degree of diversity can be tolerated in a time when the moral authority of churches seems to be eroding? Charles Curran suggests that many churches of North America, both Roman Catholic and mainline Protestant, already share a catholic approach to their moral role and function. He offers ways for such churches to learn, teach, and advise in the area of morality. The result is a proposal that is truly both ecumenical and catholic in scope.
