Kevin Wincouser spent the last decade trying to escape the pain of his parents' death. He's thrown himself into the rodeo circuit with great success. However, after suffering a head injury he realizes he may never ride again. As Kevin recuperates, Lara Donahue finds her childhood hero's heart far more wounded than his body. Laura is determined that the man she's loved for so long will love God first and her second, but that is clearly not Kevin's plan.
