The Old Testament reveals promises and types of God's anticipated salvation, while the New Testament shows the accomplishment of God's full salvation in Christ. Ultimately, as believers in Christ, we will share in the consummation of God's salvation in the New Jerusalem, which is a sign of the mutual abiding and enjoyment of God and man for eternity.
