The History of the Jewish People in the Age of Jesus Christ is a new edition of the original, presenting in great detail all the available data on First Century Judaism, drawn from the available literature of Hellenistic, Rabbinic, and non-conformist Judaism. It is designed for academic and scholars, though it may be of great use to other students as well. The bibliographies have been rejuvenated and supplemented; sources are presented according to the latest scholarly editions; and new finds such as the Dead Sea Scroll and the Bar Kohkba documents have been introduced. This new addition also has a new English translation from the original German. This continuation of volume three concludes the discussion on Jewish Literature between 175 BC and 135 AD. It also includes a discussion of works with uncertain origin, possibly being Christian or Jewish. The final portion includes a study of the works of Philo and an index to the entire set.
