Sam the Minuteman is set during the start of the American Revolution. America is still a British colony, but the people are unhappy. One day, Sam sees British soldiers in Boston trying to keep order. 'They want to keep us from being too strong.' his father tells him. One spring night, Sam is woken by the church bells. The British soldiers are marching to Concord where the colonists have hidden weapons. Sam goes with his father and the Minutemen, hoping to hold back the British. Progeny Press Study Guides provide teachers, parents, and students with literary analysis based upon the foundation of the Bible. Examining well-written literature in relation to biblical standards, students will develop and refine how they deal with man's philosophies while learning about the craft of writing. Progeny Press Study Guides interact with literature as works of art and philosophy as they explain and use literary terms; examine plot construction; dig into character studies; and bring attention to themes and ideas the author has crafted. This CD-ROM includes the study guide .pdf, answer key .pdf, and and ReadMe file; the booklet is not included. Work must be printed out, and cannot be completed on the computer. Grades 1-3.
