Sitting comfortably on his living room couch watching a documentary of an area that experienced severe flooding, Hartmut Haehnichen witnessed a house floating down Main Street. Himself a contractor, he realized how foolish it was that the builder had not attached the house to the foundation. Suddenly the Lord spoke and made it clear 'That house is you!' Hartmut immediately argued with the Holy Spirit quoting scriptures to prove his innocence, but to no avail. The Holy Spirit continued, 'Even the Demons believe and tremble.' Hartmut felt devastated and confused. After all, he believed in Christ, had asked Jesus into his heart, was baptized into his death and raised in newness of life. Wasn't that enough to be considered a 'good' Christian? Journey with Hartmut as he sought the Lord for answers to his spiritual condition and discovered the requirements of a holy God. These stern warnings apply to anyone living in lukewarm faith. Experience God's mercy as he patiently instructs you in righteousness through his Word and heed the warning to walk in the fear of the Lord.
