Nine-year-old Jeremiah is a foster kid who just wants to run and run. But his running gets him into trouble, and he's shuttled from foster home to foster home. All he ever wanted is a place to belong--a home and a family. Life is tough for him, but the one thing he holds onto is his grandmother's 'strong words,' and a handful of mustard seeds she gave him that he hopes he can plant one day to grow into a tree of his own. As his fortunes slowly begin to turn, and with the help of his friends, he learns a lesson of teamwork and what it really means to stick it out till the end. Recommended for ages 8 to 12.
