It systematically teaches key writing skills on how to write correct sentences and how to develop sentences into coherent paragraphs. They also learn about the expansion of sentences by means of adjectives and adverbs; the linking of sentences by means of conjunctions; and the combining of sentences into paragraphs. Each unit consists of two or more pages of explanatory material, with each point illustrated with examples, followed by four or five practice exercises.
