Apologia's Exploring Creation with Botany textbook will introduce your young naturalists to plants---their structure, propagation, classification, and more! This engaging, yearlong classical science curriculum was influenced by Charlotte Mason and the living books philosophy-author and homeschooling mother Jeannie Fulbright writes as if she were chatting with her own children, defining and explaining terms at their comprehension level. Designed to be used with both readers and non-readers, each clearly organized lesson features content-rich narration; notebooking activities; and hands-on activities and projects using easy-to-find household items. Dissect seeds, force bulbs, make leaf skeletons---and take a close-up look at God's world.

The Botany Junior Notebooking Journal provides grade-appropriate activities specifically geared towards younger students who aren't as advanced in their writing abilities. Almost the same length as the regular journal, the notebooking pages are designed to suit students struggling with their handwriting and writing skills; dashed writing lines, cut-and-paste, coloring pages, and fewer writing activities make the junior notebooking journal perfect for struggling older students or for younger students in grades K-3.

The Apologia Botany Lab Kit makes it easy to conduct experiments, including making a nature journal, growing plants in an indoor light box, planting a butterfly garden, and observing the beauty of the plants that God created! All items are packaged in individual lesson bags for ease of use. Parents will still need to supply some household/fresh/living items.

Grades K-6.

This kit includes:

  • Exploring Creation with Botany Textbook 176 pages, hardcover.

  • Junior Botany Notebooking Journal, 221 non-reproducible pages plus 57-page full-color section. Spiral bound, softcover.
  • Apologia Botany Lab Kit from Nature's Workshop Plus!
