This is a testimony motivated by the desire to make a contribution, however small, to the Muslim Christian dialogue. By that we mean a dialogue that should not be restricted to pleasantries and the courtesies of respect and mutual tolerance, but which should aim to promote the necessary reciprocal understanding, based on as clear a knowledge as possible of the respective problems. This dialogue should make use of all written and oral sources of information, and have as its constant concern a greater insight into the feelings, ideas and doctrines that form, on both sides, the foundations of faith and cultre.
