Number 8 in the Great Christian Classics series. This book is a simplified and shorter version of The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment by Jeremiah Burroughs. Burroughs' book is an exposition of Philippians 4:11. His method is to examine the subject of Christian contentment from various angles: he makes a large number of points, and often repeats what he has said in a different context. Some readers may therefore find it very confusing if they read this version of the book straight through. The best way to use it is to read and meditate on a little of it at a time.
