In the decades before Christ, Chava is a faithful friend with Urbi, a princess in the Alexandrian royal palace. Urbi becomes Queen Cleopatra, the now women argue and the Queen sends Chava to prison, then selling her into slavery. Chava leaves her family and community ending up alone in Rome. In one lifetime she has experienced the best and the worst of Roman society.
