In 1620, Mary Elizabeth is a separatist who travels with her family on the Speedwell ship anticipating a better life in the New World. The Virginia Company offers a large sum of money to William Lytton to secretly keep an eye on company interests in the new colony. He is a carpenter travels on the Mayflower ship seeking opportunities to succeed in the New World. Storms cause rough sailing travels and upon arrival the people are weak and the food is scarce. Mary Elizabeth must face the spring planting and unknown natives, while William could be labeled a traitor and expelled. Will they both make it in the new world?
