RECORDER TIME can be used successfully by the young recorder student in the general music class, the recorder class, or in an individual instruction situation. The music in this book has been chosen for its appeal to young players, suitability for acquiring basic recorder technique, and musical value. Breath marks have been included throughout the method in order to give students a concept of the basic musical phrase. The addition or deletion of the marks will depend upon the tempo and student capability. All of the music is within the technical ability of young players, and has been carefully selected by the authors. Guidelines for correct recorder technique appear at the bottom of the pages.
