Nothing much ever happens in Monksford. Still, Jemma Durham, an ambitious young reporter, dreams of the story that will take her from covering cow pat throwing contests at the Monksford Gazette to working for a prestigious national newspaper. Then the town revives the tradition of the medieval mystery plays performed from across England hundreds of years ago, and life in Munksford turns decidedly more interesting.
