Emily Evans struggles with her studies at Bible school, but she knows that's where she belongs until God calls her elsewhere. Then comes the chapel hour when she learns of the vast needs of the prairie settlements. To her surprise, Emily feels God's call into full-time Christian service in one of those pioneer communities. As a young, single woman, though, Emily faces many challenges, and her first weeks are disappointing at best.
