HOPE was recorded live in March 2003, and is the first Hillsong album to be recorded in the new Hillsong Church Convention Centre in Sydney Australia. The new facility was filled to capacity on both album nights and many who were unable to get inside spilled over onto the lawns outside. After the second night, worship pastor Darlene Zschech, together with a small team of musicians, led worship with the hundreds who had been watching the worship on a large screen outside. Almost 2 hours of live worship.
