Yet I Loved Jacob is an attempt to explore the Bible's election theology by carefully analyzing certain biblical texts, discussing major themes and engaging contemporary concerns. This is all done from a Jewish prospective of the Hebrew Bible (Christian Bible's Old Testament). This book is not intended to be the final all-encompassing study of the Hebrew Bible's election theology. Rather, its purpose is to provide a new and relatively accessible discussion of some of the most interesting aspects of this topic with the hope that others will be drawn into this theologically central but much-neglected area of study.
