This study guides accompanies Molly Marshall's book What It Means to Be Human. It is divided into four major sections entitled 'Guiding,' 'Centering,' 'Worshiping,' and 'Responding.' The 'Guiding' portion of the book has three movements that provide the teacher with resources for group learning. Each session includes activities that appeal to all types of learners. The 'Centering' section offers the individual group member the opportunity to interact more personally and privately with the contents of the book. It engages the learner in reflection, providing opportunities for sharing with the larger group when appropriate. Worshiping' is the section devoted to giving ideas and suggestions for corporate and/or individual worship opportunities. The final section, 'Responding', is designed to motivate the study group to action. It offers possibilities, based on what they have learned together, for putting action to their thoughts.
