A traditional history program, this curriculum from Landmark's Freedom Baptist Curriculum provides students with examples of success, failure, victories and defeats through the stories of the 'famous men' of history-both great and inhumane. Written from a conservative Christian perspective, this curriculum approaches history as revealing the sovereignty of God in the affairs of men. In this grade 3 course, students will learn about Christopher Columbus, Native Americans, Pilgrims, Roger Williams, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Noah Webster, Eli Whitney, Abraham Lincoln, Robert E. Lee, Edison, and others. Two textbooks are included, one for each semester. Each week includes five lessons; the first is a set of vocabulary words students must define from the glossary & use to complete fill-in-the-blank sentences. The second lesson features the text to read for the week and concludes with comprehension questions. Lesson 3 includes additional questions related to the content, Lesson 4 has a 'think about it!' and writing activity, and Lesson 5 is the weekly test. Four review weeks are also integrated. A separate packet of loose-leaf pages for teachers includes the line-listed answer key for the student books, the weekly quizzes, and quiz answers. Two volumes. Scripture from the KJV (Authorized, 1611) Bible. Books are non-reproducible and consumable. This Grade 3 kit includes: LFBC History and Geography: Great American Heroes H115 1st Semester Student Textbook - LFBC History and Geography: Great American Heroes H115 2nd Semester Student Textbook
