Learn about the life of Welsh revivalist Evan Roberts (1878-1951). Born in Wales in 1878, Evan Roberts was an unusual type of child: very caring of others and always willing to stand up and do the right thing. At the age of 12 he had to leave school to get a job in a coal mine to help support his family and at age 24 he became an apprentice for a blacksmith. In 1904, he began his ministers training and became involved in the revivalist movement. Roberts was a driving force for this movement, causing thousands of Welsh people to come to God.
