This series of books was developed by the teachers in the Ridgewood, New Jersey Public School, and has been in use for the past ten years. Book 1 corresponds with grade 4, and introduces what analogies are, how they're read, and why they're useful. Basic word functions and names are covered before moving onto the various types of analogies. Descriptive analogies, comparative analogies, categorical analogies, serial and causal analogies are all covered.
