The 72 pages in My Summer Journal have an appropriately sized area for illustrations or graphic organizers, with writing lines underneath that have the right spacing for second and third graders. There are enough of these pages for daily journal writing throughout the season, and the inside front cover lists holidays and other appropriate words for each month. The inside back cover features other helpful words, and blank lines on both of the inside covers enable students to add new words and create personalized word lists they can refer to quickly and easily when writing.
