The problem with the Easter story is that for it to work as a joyous occasion you have to accept two stories. Firstly the death of Jesus, something physical with which people can easily identify, and then the resurrection of Jesus, understanding of which requires faith. Without faith, the events speak of failure, with faith, they speak of triumph.
James Montgomery Boice, one of the church's master communicators, here explains the drama, purpose and events surrounding Easter - so that more can see the two stories interplay, so that more can see the occasion as one of spiritual joy.
