The original edition of A Treatise on the Use of Tenses in Hebrew and Some Other Syntactical Questions, published in 1874, launched the career of S. R. Driver. It was the first attempt to describe the principles of Hebrew syntax in English on both philosophical and scientific lines. All modern study of Hebrew is founded on this work and it is perhaps the most fascinating book that Drover wrote. This particular edition contains Driver's third and final edition of his work (1892). It also contains a lengthy introductory article by W. Randall Garr.
