'God has plans for you.' It was a message Carlos Ray Norris heard from his mother many times. In fact, it was the first thing she whispered in his ear as she held her newborn son in her arms. It would play like a mantra in his ears all throughout his life. But no one could have foreseen the extraordinary life Chuck Norris would have before him. The little baby who was not expected to survive his birth would have to also survive extreme poverty, debilitating shyness, and an alcoholic father. While serving a tour in Korea, Chuck would happen upon a martial arts demonstration that would be the first step on a journey to becoming not only an owner and instructor in a chain of successful martial arts schools, but also becoming personal friends and occasional workout partner of legend Bruce Lee. In 1974 Chuck retired from active competition as the undefeated 6-time World Professional Middle Weight Karate Champion. But these accomplishments were only the beginning. Soon millions of people around the world know Chuck NOrris as the star of more than twenty motion pictures, including 'Good Guys Wear Black,' 'Delta Force,' 'Missing in Action,' and from his eight seasons on CBS's longest running series, 'Walker, Texas Ranger.' But God is not through with Chuck Norris.
