The first session of Vatican Council II was held in Saint Peter's basilica, Rome on October 11, 1962. The work of the council spread over four years from 1962 to 1965. Now all in one volume, the sixteen basic documents that emerged from that council have been completely revised to include inclusive language. Much easier to read, it is now accessible to the average layperson as well as the academic student.
