Concepts covered in the Primer level include not only how to write numerals, but also addition and subtraction, basic counting, skip counting, geometric shapes, and telling time; students will also be introduced to the manipulative block system. The Instruction Manual features 30 lessons with detailed instructions that include illustrations of manipulatives and other visual modeling strategies. The back of the book contains answers to the student workbook; reduced-size student pages have the correct answers overlaid. The Instructional DVD features Steve Demme teaching a classroom each lesson. Each video lesson will help teachers understand the concepts being taught, as well as how to demonstrate it (as applicable); students can also watch with the teacher if deemed helpful. The Student Workbook contains a number of worksheets for each lesson along with systematic review pages.
