The Buddha-Christ as the Lord of True Self: The Religious Philosophy of the Kyoto School and Christianity
Equating Christ in His Lordship with Gautama Buddha, Fritz Buri attampts to sychretize the Christian religion with Buddhist thought. Buri, arguing for an openness among religions and beliefs, sadly illustrates how close association with other beliefs can affect a deficiency in one's own. While he will still be best known for his refutation of Bultmann's mythologizing elements of Christian theology, in this book he only serves as an example of the moth flying too close to the flame.
