Students listen to a story being read, writing down key words to paraphrase the main idea with. Outlines, vocabulary, thesaurus skills, drafts and other necessary writing skills will be introduced to the students as they listen to reading passages on American History. Reproducible worksheets include room for creating a new title, underlining and defining vocabulary words, looking up words in a thesaurus and finding synonyms, and outlining the story with the key word synonyms.
