This is a wonderful series offering a fun way to learn to spell...Each book consists of five week-long lessons, (eighteen words per week) with a review of all words during the sixth week. Each lesson also consists of scripture memory and value lessons. This series is not only fun for children ages 10-12, but helps with retention using practice activities, visual imaging, listening, and games. This way, all learning-styles are able to benefit. The teacher's guide contains placement tests to be administered at the beginning of each school year. This will allow you to see what level your child should be at. The guide takes you through each lesson, (this course requires a great deal of teacher-student interaction), giving suggestions on how to complete each exercise. Discussion questions are also included to reinforce the moral values in each story and scripture lessons.
