In a world where the motion picture industry is, to put it mildly, unfriendly towards Christian worldviews and sensibilities, what recourse do teenagers have for large-scale entertainment? How about making your own movie? Serenity and her friends are back, and larger than life, as they attempt the seemingly impossible - to make movies that aren't cliche, predictable or just plain inappropriate for kids their age. But the story behind the making of the movie could halt production in its tracks, as the star (Serenity, naturally) has some deep questions that she wants to ask her mom, another actress might be grounded because of her costume, and the director has doubts about whether he has what it takes to pull this off.
The movie (actually the second half of the book) is a science-fiction thriller called 'The Terror from the Tarantula Nebula', and features the kids in roles and situations that you might never have foreseen - Derek as the space captain? Sally as the alien princess?? Serenity and Kimberly teaming up??? There's lots of fun, excitement and drama in real life as well as in 'reel' life as the friends face multiple hurdles that may affect the completion of their project.Recommended for ages 14 and up.
