Begun more than 50 years ago, Ed Reese's exhaustive resource features biographies from the First Century A.D. to today, including many evangelicals not mentioned in other collections. This encyclopedia includes more than 5,000 biographical sketches for nearly every major person who has lived throughout Christian history. Each figure is noted with a short biography arranged chronologically by the date of their death. These biographies will enlighten the reader regarding the ministries and lives of twenty centuries of Christian leaders. Over 4,000 photos, more than 300 autographs of believers from the beginning of the church to the present day, a helpful alphabetical index, and the cooperation and input of over 1,000 organizations round out this large volume. Dr. Edward Reese has served as a pastor, evangelist, musician, missionary, educator, and writer. His previous book, the Reese Chronological Bible, created almost thirty years ago, is still in print today. His impressive database of information, called the Reese Religious Research, has been of help to a number of organizations over the years. Since 1996, Ed Reese has been teaching in missions and church ministries at Crown College in Powell, Tennessee.
