Jonathan Edwards was always amazed by the natural world. He believed that nature's wonders were proof of God's work on earth. As a boy, he would often tell others of his faith, and he was very concerned about his relationship with God. After he grew up, Jonathan helped lead a religious movement called the Great Awakening. Jonathan's feelings about God were printed in books. His letters and sermons were read by many people. He showed how religion could be part of people's everyday lives. He helped people think differently about the purposes of their church.
