When Oluu came to Earth, she did not keep the form of her own body...As she begins to learn about life on this strange new planet, Oluu becomes a dog, a bird, a pony, and, briefly, a housefly. But no matter which form she takes, her personality shines through. She is curious, intelligent, very stubborn (some might even call her rude)-and particularly intriqued by the young 'two-leggers' named Molly and Jack. In Oluu's world, most of the young take advice from the Wise Ones, load it into their systems, and follow it. Oluu does not run so predictably, however, and the Wise Ones worry about her. Molly and Jack also seem to function in unpredictable way, and Oluu begins to wonder if perhaps, on this planet, she might be not so different after all. A funny, heartwarming fantasy about an alien who finds that Earth isn't just another planet- it might even be a place to call home.
