French 1 teaches basic vocabulary and grammar and provides practice in conversation that will meet survival needs. It also provides a framework in which to present the language structure and an understanding of the spiritual needs of the French people. This course teaches students how to tell the gospel in a simple manner. Bible verses, songs, and readings on culture are included. By using dialogues, this course focuses on the life of an American missionary family in France. The audio cassettes provide necessary grammar drills and listening comprehension.
