In 'What Would You Do?' John H. Yoder explores the pros and cons of a nonviolent response to a violent person threatening to harm a loved one. Yoder provides a variety of responses to this classic question including his own thorough ethical analysis and the answers given to this question by such people as Joan Baez, Tom Skinner, Leo Tolstoy, and Dale Aukerman. He also gives a variety of real life stories of people who have discovered alternative responses to violence. John H. Yoder is a Professor of Theology at the University of Notre Dame and has a Doctor of Theology Degree from the Univery of Basel. Other writings by Yoder deal with issues of war and peace, Reformation history, ethics, missionary methods, church renewal, and the ecumenical movement. This book has 144 pages and is published by Herald Press.
