A Bible verse can act like a grain of sand in a clam - it encourages one to concentrate focus on it until a pearl is formed. While these verses of Scripture (along with a few quotes from personalities as varied as Victorian art theorist John Ruskin and Woodrow Wilson) all speak to the issues for which they were selected, they are better appreciated when they are put back into their Biblical context and broadened to encompass full scriptural teaching. Promises concerning faithful living, everyday life and family are presented in such a fashion as to become springboards toward deeper immersion in God's Word.
