This new format for the Sheffield Old Testament Guides offers the acclaimed and authoritative introductions in larger configurations, prefaced with a broad theological and literary orientation by a leading biblical theologian. The new format is designed especially to allow for the study of larger units of the Bible for seminary and college use, at the same time setting critical interpretation within a more explicitly theological framework. Genesis and Exodus is introduced by John Goldingay of Fuller Theological Seminary, who illuminates the dictinctive literary and theological features of these foundational books and their importance for modern theological reflection.
