The Getting Ready workbook introduces your students to printing by hand. It also uses a unique font designed to address common handwriting problems such as letter reversals. After they learn to print all the individual letters, students move into beginning copywork (which encourages swift reading development) and then they work on hearing individual sounds in words (also called phonemic awareness), and finally practice writing numerals. After this book, which you can work through at your student's pace, you'll move into the Cub Starting workbook.
