Women's submission and subordination---or full participation and ordination? Both camps in the controversy over women's roles claim biblical precedents in key Pauline texts. Keener's evenhanded study of them respects the text's authority, yet also considers that Paul wrote in a specific time and place for a specific purpose. Keener also recognizes that it's crucial to understand the historical, lexical, cultural, and exegetical details behind Paul's words if we wish to successfully interpret them and apply them to the life of the church.
Damage on these books will vary and may consist of dented spines or corners, a few wrinkled pages, and the page edges may be a little dusty. On the whole they are in pretty good condition for the price.
