This course builds upon French for Children A, which is a pre-requisite for this course. Students and teachers follow a basic weekly schedule that can be modified as needed; lessons guide students through listening to dialogue audio as they read the text-based transcript, chants, approximately 10 vocabulary words per week, a variety of lesson elements covering grammar and memory, worksheets, and a weekly quiz. The text is written directly to the student in a friendly and engaging tone, with detailed explanations of tricky concepts and plenty of translation and conjugation worksheets to help students remember it all. By the end of the course, students should have learned 130 commonly used vocabulary words and 40 conversational words and phrases, plus be familiar with grammatical concepts such as negation, stressed pronouns, and pronominal verbs, as well as verb conjugation, tense, and noun gender.
