Give Them What You Have encourages everyone, especially those less familiar with Scripture, to explore the New Testament with thoughtfulness and excitement, and to recognize along the way the debt we owe to those who have made generous, lifelong commitments to biblical scholarship and to the mission of the Lord's Church to feed and be fed by his words. In this work, the strengths and weaknesses of various biblical study methods are reviewed. New Testament themes are outlined, and the contemporary extremes of irrational fundamentalism and Western secularism are evaluated. A homiletic tone is used in this piece as called for in Pope Benedict's desire for renewal in biblical theology and similar to that found in the New Testament.
