First aired in 1925, The Grand Ole Opry is the longest running radio and stage show in history. For several decades the Opry was broadcast from Nashville's legendary ryman Auditorium. When the show moved to Opryland USA, it's new home was christened with the last song performed at the Ryman, 'Will the Circle Be Unbroken?' The continuing success of the show, which made country music the music of the people, demonstrates that thsi circle is unbroken, stretching from the earliest days of radio to the era of satellite communication. UNBROKEN CIRCLE is a tribute to the most home grown of American institutions. It's pages are filled with the insights and observations of a host of Grand Ole Opry performers Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Roy Acuff, and Minnie Pearl.
