A very good and very accurate introduction to the people and culture of the West African Sahel. Information on everything from the land to the ever-elusive Marabout (and Islamic 'witch doctor' found in West Africa but almost never found in books about the area). Excelent for those going on mission trips or those interested in that part of the world.
