Bruce Bawer claims it is in the liberal churches where Christianity as Jesus preached it is truly realized. His argument is that love has not been preached as it should in the fundamentalist churches at the expense of law and legalism. He does claim though that the liberal churches, on the other hand, have not been able to adequately deal with the question of evil. He also sees that traditional Christianity has been intolerant in its views of advocating creationism and prohibition of non-traditional families and he calls for a more tolerant response to such current questions.
